Game 66: No Zuccarello in Dallas

The Rangers begin their long stretch of travel for games tonight in Dallas. For the players, they will get to see old friend Mats Zuccarello. For us fans, he broke his arm and is not playing tonight. The hockey gods are cruel sometimes.

The Blueshirts are dressing their youngest roster in years, and the future is looking bright. David Quinn has them competing in every game, and there aren’t many where the Rangers give up and accept defeat.

Interesting note: Alex Radulov won’t play tonight, as he was late to the Stars’ morning skate. They will play 11F/7D, like the Rangers.

The Hockey Gods are being good to us. I’m so sorry he’s hurt but at least we’re being spared the pain of seeing him in another uniform playing against us. Yeesh!

Yeah thanks buddy … trust me I don’t like taking anything , not even aspirin/Advil . First hip resurfacing was done beginning of January. I took pain meds for 5.5 days . This is the second one , did it yesterday and drove 8 hrs to get home . Along with just following orders. They want aggressive on the meds the first few days , doc tells me if u get behind on bone pain you will be in trouble.Oxycontin one every 12 hours , Oxycondone 2 every 4-6 hours which I will probably cut those down to 1 after day 3-4 and depending on swelling day 5-6 cold turkey. Just ice machine and Tylenol.

Everyone loves me Walt …. I take those as positive energy! ? I couldn’t be happier ! I’m sore of course but my joint pain is completely gone ! Along with an added bonus of no more lower back pain! I researched this style hip replacement for 2-3 years and kept dragging my feet to do it. The right hip was probably 2 years late , the left about a year early but I had to get it done because of our lovely health care system that is a complete mess. All my deductible and most of out of pocket was met the first go around so it was almost a 2 for one deal. A expensive one though!

Too much junkie business, the morgues are full of people who thought they could handle it. Why don’t you save your boastfulness, opioid abuse is no joke and certainly nothing to proudly announce.

I watched the Zuc play in his Dallas debut. He was working his magic setting up his line mates, scored a goal and was hard on the back check. Unfortunately being the big balls Hobbit that he is he broke his arm blocking a slap shot. Heal quickly old friend.

    Awful boarding call on Ziba.

These games have to be wearing this team out. Ugh. Another great game for Georg. I remain convinced that he just might beat out Shesty as the heir to the throne. That call on Mika was terrible. Wtf has happened to Kreider? All but invisible…

I love Hank, but the truth is might be one of the vets blocking the rebuild next year. Georgi can’t go down to the AHL, he’s just too good for that … and I’m not sure Shesty would benefit much from any long period of time in the AHL after having played 3+ FULL years in the KHL. Tough situation.

If Shesty turns out to be the real deal my guess is Georgi becomes trade bait. Kreider is a competitor who doesn’t appear to be embracing the tank. If the Rangers can sign Panarin in the off-season, then they need to take a run at the playoffs. Teams can become perpetual losers if the culture permits it.

… and then who back ups whom come the King’s retirement? Unless one of Wall, Huska or Lindbom are ready, we’ll have to find one. Thing is, Georgi will be just 25 when Hank goes, I would rather see him here pushing Shesty — healthy competition.

The non call on ADA was messed up , dangerous boarding hit and the Ref was right there watching the whole play . What did he think that ADA was diving ?? They need to bring up Lindgren and sit a few vets , let the kids play ! Do you let Gerorgi stay in the nets Sittoo ?
