DIsclaimer: The lineups and some of the information in the game threads through the end of the year may be out of date. I’m on vacation and scheduled these well in advance. So while you guys are dealing with snow and stuff, I’m on a beach.
The Rangers are back from the holiday break tonight against the Blue Jackets. The Jackets are likely in a need-to-go-for-it situation this year, as both Sergei Bobrovsky and Artemi Panarin are likely gone at the end of the season. That makes this version of the Blue Jackets dangerous. It also helps that they are a pretty good team.
The Blue Jackets are a pretty deep team, and coach John Tortorella has adjusted his style to account for the new game and the lineup. They are a good team that will grind you to a pulp if you let them. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t skilled enough to play a run-and-gun game, either.
