The Rangers have recalled center Boo Nieves from Hartford. They did so last night as insurance in case Kevin Hayes cannot go today.
Nieves spent a good amount of the season on SOIR (season opening IR), dealing with a concussion suffered in the preseason. He’s played 12 games with the Pack this year, putting up a line of 3-4-7.
It isn’t expected that Nieves will play today. As mentioned, he’s just insurance in case Hayes is unable to go.
