Game 20: Game day on wedding day

The Rangers are back in action tonight against the Florida Panthers. But this is a game that plays second fiddle to real life events tonight. Our very own Rob and Becky are getting married tonight. Pat and I will be in attendance. None of us will be watching, as we watch two people who met through the Rangers officially tie the knot.

Becky has been one of my closest friends for 15 (!!) years now. She’s actually the reason why this blog exists (more on that in a future post) and seeing how happy she is with Rob is something special. Join me in congratulating the happy couple.

Good luck Rob….I have good scotch recommendations when you need them.

  1. Congrats….

May the only BLUES you know be that of the Rangers!

    Cheers, God Bless.

I am curious if the wedding will include a LGR chat? or really anything Rangers!

    LGR!

  2. Congrats Becky and Rob. Poink setting the pace of loosey goosey defensive play. Fun hockey but I think Henk is going to loose his shat, very shortly he will be looking up at the rafters shaking his head.

  3. Congratulations Rob And Becky. My wife and I have now been married 38 years. Happiness doubles when two people join in love. The best to you both.

  4. Congrats to Rob and Becky, lots of luck.

Filip Chytil scored again, 3 games in a row after being put on a line with talented teammates. It’s not rocket science.

  5. Congratulations Rob & Becky!
To many years of screaming to the tv together! 😉
    Cheers

  6. Congratulations Rob & Becky! Rob, you broke my heart , I am a big Becky fan, all the best to you both. My bride and I have been married over 48 years, wishing you the same type of longevity.

As for the game last night, the team defense still needs some work, especially after the first period. It looked like it was going to be a shoot out, but the teams settled down and played a good game. Chytle seems to ooze confidence, and seems like a happy camper. Kreider played well, and Hank was his usual Hank.

On a side note, after Mario, and Sid the Kid, it appears that the Pens are in the swan dive mode to get the Hughes kid??????????????

    1. Pens had 23 pts after 20 games last year at this time and have 17 after 18 now. This is what they do.

With no one in the division running away with anything I expect the Pens to start winning in Dec.

      1. Tony

You may be right, but based on their history, that dirt bag organization may well dive to get a shot at this kid. It’s always fun to pick on them just the same!!!!!!

    2. Heads are gonna start rolling in Pittsburgh soon if they don’t wake from their slumber. Also loving that Matt Murray is turning out to be the Trent Dilfer of the NHL. His last season and the start of this one have been flat-out horrendous. Ironic that their GM Jim Rutherford—widely acclaimed as a genius and a former NHL goalie himself—made the safe but very wrong choice between Fleury and Murray.

        1. And yet at his current pace he’ll be out of the league by age 26. Way to be a Pens defender on a Ranger blog.

          1. I’d rather have the two Cups …. just sayin ?? , seeing we have one since like 2000 BC , I could care less if that goalie couldn’t stop a beach ball right now

  7. Lettieri to Hartford, there’s a shocker.

McLeod needs to be moved to “smoothie maker” status.
