Per Brett Cyrgalis, Pavel Buchnevich was not skating on any given line, meaning he might be a healthy scratch for tomorrow night’s game against Colorado.
Buchnevich not skating on a line. After the fake-out from Friday’s practice, take this #NYR for what you will: Chytil-Hayes-Zuccarello, Kreider-Zibanejad-Fast, Vesey-Howden-Namestnikov, McLeod(Buchnevich second in rotation)-Spooner-Lettieri.

It’s not like anyone on the team has been 100% great to start the season. So objectively, scratching him for a game isn’t the end of the world. There has been steady rotation of healthy scratches lately. It’s also October, so there isn’t much to read into here. Just a scratch. If it’s recurring, then it’s a problem.
