Halverson up, Lettieri down, Georgiev out with the flu

Some minor roster moves yesterday that we didn’t get a chance to post. Damn real world live. Anyway, Vinny Lettieri was returned to Hartford, which was expected as the Rangers start getting healthy. I’m not going to lose sleep over it, although there is a legitimate case to keep him up and send Cody McLeod down. I’m not overly concerned with Lettieri playing with Filip Chytil and Lias Andersson.

Brandon Halverson was called up for today’s game, as Alex Georgiev is out with the flu. I expected Georgiev to get a start this weekend, but I doubt Halverson will. So much for limiting Henrik Lundqvist’s work load. But hey, no playoffs means he’s going to get all summer off. I guess that’s a positive?

  • I’m not too concerned with Hanks workload. In recent years all the talk of limiting his starts had to do with keeping him fresh for the playoffs. Well that’s not happening.
