Rangers recall Marek Hrivik

Marek hrivik

The Rangers have recalled forward Marek Hrivik. Hrivik has a line of 8-9-17 with the Wolf Pack this season, and is their leading scorer.

This move likely comes as an injury replacement for J.T. Miller, who had a maintenance day after taking a shot from Mats Zuccarello off the knee the other day.

Hrivik has certainly earned the call up with his play. However this is likely a short term thing until Miller is healthy.

"Rangers recall Marek Hrivik", 5 out of 5 based on 2 ratings.

Grabner’s grandmother passed so hence the call up. Thoughts and prayers to the Grabner family.

If it is a short term call up, why call someone up that has to pass through waivers?

don’t know, and I agree, they had enough players to cover.

I think one of Jooris or Lindberg is not long for the Rangers and Hrivik is passing them on the depth chart.

I know, you’re a big Lindberg guy. I’m curious what you see there. All I see in Oscar is a guy that is an average NHL’er, roster filler, if you would.

He’s not speedy, not big, not an outstanding shooter, not a special playmaker, not an exceptional defender. He’s not even that young (25) at this point, so it’s not like there’s room for growth.

I like Oscar as a prototype 4th liner. Good face off guy, good D, and some offense. When I say that I like a player it’s for the role that I think they should play, not like the coach that tries to make Fast a top 6 player. That’s like-like, lol.

Who is Mark Scheifele, and where did he come from? 13 G and 13 A on the season thus far for Winnipeg.

Dominating this year but not out of nowhere. Post all star break last year he put up 38 points (17g/21a) in 34 games.

In fact, “no player in the NHL has been hotter as he had scored 26 goals and 31 assists for 57 points in the past 49 games spanning this season and last.”…. written on 11/11/16, compliments of illegal curve (.com).

Happy to say I snagged him in 2 fantasy hockey leagues I play in this years draft.

He also had a terrific World Cup of Hockey and looks like he is starting to put it all together. He also benefited from playing on a line with Matthews and McDavid, but I think that tournament helped him get his confidence up before the regular season started.
