The New York Rangers have released their 2015 Traverse City Tournament roster. There are 23 players on the roster, comprised of 21 skaters and two goalies. Most of these guys should look familiar. For those that don’t –likely the ATO’s– Josh did a primer on all of them. You should check them out.

    1. The 95’s could wind up in camp for a spot in Hartford, the 96 & 97’s are still draft eligible.

    1. Normally the MSG network televises the Ranger games from the Traverse City tournament.

    2. Eddie, it would be awesome to catch some of these games and evaluate future players. On another note, please comment on my comment from the battle for the final 2 roster spots, it was posted last night, it is in regards to Ranger overall toughness, Taner Glass and a history lesson from the 79 finals against Canadians. Would like to hear your thoughts.

      1. Yup. Will do. Working on it now. I can’t believe people had the nerve to bother me with mundane works concerns when they should know I’m trying to respond to you about Fotiu and McIlrath! 🙂

It will be on the page where you write it.

    1. Adam Tambellini:

“Adam has the sniper ability of Ilya Kovalchuk”….. The Hockey Writer’s

Strengths include: focus, leadership, work ethic, well above average hands, competitiveness, resourceful especially on broken plays.

“Blessed with great offensive skill and a very projectable frame, he has everything needed to put up good numbers as a pro”….. The Hockey News

2014-15: Tambellini led the WHL’s Calgary Hitmen in scoring as a 20-year-old as the Hitmen were again one of the WHL’s top teams. He scored 47 goals with 39 assists and was +43 with 30 penalty minutes in 71 regular season games. Calgary finished first in the Central Division and reached the Eastern Conference finals against Brandon. Tambellini scored 13 goals with 13 assists and was +1 with 10 penalty minutes in 16 playoff games. He signed a three-year entry-level contract with the New York Rangers in March 2015.

      Future:
Tambellini will challenge for a spot with the Rangers in training camp but will likely start his pro career with AHL affiliate Hartford in 2015-16.

  1. If Tambellini ever forced himself on to the roster, who would he replace? Yeah, I know, Glass—-but really—whose spot would he take? Doesn’t seem to me that he makes the team, even if he is all-world at camp

    1. Agree. He may open some eyes in camp, but no way he makes the team unless the Rangers are riddled with injuries. He needs at least one year in the AHL. Maybe two.

Skjei is the guy I will really have my eye on.

    2. I have no expectations of Tambellini making the Rangers this camp. I was just posting some Ranger porn. A little something to get the boys excited
