Wolf Pack signs forward Ryan Potulny

The Hartford Wolf Pack have announced the signing of center Ryan Potulny to an AHL contract. Potulny is a career AHLer, but has 126 games of NHl experience since the 2005-2006 season. Potulny will help the Wolf Pack with their depth up front, which was a serious issue this past season.

Since Potulny is signed to an AHL deal, his contract will not count towards the 50 NHL contract limit.

Solid depth move. In case of injuries they can give him an NHL contract but doesnt take up an NHl contract now. Hopefully he can other prospects to produce.

Rangers training Camp starts in 4 weeks. Can’t wait. I hope they resign Ryan Borque. Since his brother Chris is here and he finally had a decent season. Maybe he will be able to build on that and become more than just an energy guy. Maybe he should sign an AHL contract as well. That would keep an open spot on the 50 contract reserve list. In case the Rangers can get this kid Hayes who becomes a free agent in 8 days. He played with Kreider the last 2 years he was in College. He might make a great energy guy on the 4th line with size and offensive upside.
