2010-2011 LEADING SCORER: Martin Havlat (2-14-16)

GOALIE: Niklas Backstrom (1.91 GAA, .940 SV%)

RANGERS LINES:

Sean Avery-Erik Christensen-Derek Boogaard

Marc Staal-Steve Eminger

Martin Biron
Henrik Lundqvist

Scratched tonight: Chris Drury (finger), Vinny Prospal (knee), Michal Rozsival (knee), and Todd White (healthy).

NOTE: If Brandon Prust (charley horse) cannot play, Todd White will be inserted into the lineup. This will be a game time decision.

STATE OF THE BLUESHIRTS: The Rangers had an absolute clunker last night against Colorado, and look to right the ship on this little two game losing streak against a very stingy Minnesota Wild team. Minnesota’s leading goal scorer is Cal Clutterbuck, although he is not even in the top five in points. The Wild win by stifling their opponents offense, something the Rangers are going to have to overcome to win tonight. Martin Biron gets the start tonight, which was a planned start, despite the performance of Henrik Lundqvist last night.

CRAZY THOUGHT: Christensen gets a goal.

PREDICTION: Rangers 2, Wild 1

The game is at 8pm tonight on MSG. The game will also be on 1050AM on your radio. Discussion here is always recommended too!
