RANGERS LINEUP:

UPDATE BY CHRIS (jurgenno88): Torts has inserted Sauer for tonight at Gilroy’s expense. Has confirmed Eminger now his ‘no. 5’ guy. Let’s see if he earns that, starting tonight. At this stage I don’t see how he deserves job security.

Brandon Dubinsky-Artem Anisimov-Ryan Callahan
Sean Avery-Brian Boyle-Ruslan Fedotenko
Alex Frolov-Erik Christensen-Brandon Prust
Todd White-Derek Stepan-Evgeny Grachev

Marc Staal-Michal Rozsival
Michael Del Zotto-Dan Girardi
Mike Sauer-Steve Eminger

Henrik Lundqvist
Martin Biron

UPDATED: Scratched tonight: Marian Gaborik (shoulder), Chris Drury (finger), Matt Gilroy (healthy) and Derek Boogaard (healthy).

STATE OF THE BLUESHIRTS: After a very impressive defense effort on Saturday to cap an up-and-down week, the Rangers will face off tonight against the defending Stanley Cup champions. It is safe to assume that with Chicago not dressing any enforcers, Derek Boogaard will not be dressing tonight. The Rangers have been rather inconsistent this year as expected, and will likely continue to be inconsistent until some of the injuries heal. Chicago will see Brian Campbell in the lineup for the first time this season, helping shore up that blue line. Although the Blackhawks made major moves this summer, they are still a very, very good team.

CRAZY THOUGHT: Grachev nets his first goal as a Ranger. Note that until he scores, this will be the crazy thought.
