All Players Practice, New Line Combos

Hey, guess what? Rangers are getting healthy! All players, including Donald Brashear and Wade Redden, practiced. Here were the lines:

Sean Avery-Vinny Prospal-Marian Gaborik
Christopher Higgins-Chris Drury-Ryan Callahan
P.A. Parenteau-Artem Anisimov/Brian Boyle-Ales Kotalik
Enver Lisin/Donald Brashear-Erik Christensen-Aaron Voros

With Heikkinen making the trip, and Redden looking like he could go against Chicago, I wonder if they will bench Rosival. Heikkinen looks like a suitable replacement, and it would sure motivate Rosy. We shall see.

I don’t know why it makes me so happy but I love seeing Boyle on the 3rd line, even if it just is practice.

Anisimov dropped from the top line after one game? Why?

anisimov is on the third line because torts doesn’t want to much pressure on him as a rookie and doesn’t want to stunt his growth…from andrew gross, if i remember correctly. i actually think that is probably best and sound thinking. in addition, avery has been playing great and deserves time on the first line creating space for senor gaborik.

Love Avery on the top line, he always seems to produce there.

If it was last year with Gomez and Dubi or the year before with dubi and jagr.

Something about him just has his game (and the others around him) thrive while he’s on the top line.

Then again, I’ve always thought his skills have been over looked because of his agitating nature and off-ice stuff.
