Henrik Lundqvist out 2-3 weeks

feldene cream price The injury list keeps growing. All-World goalie Henrik Lundqvist will be out 2-3 weeks with a lower body injury. This is the same injury that kept him out of Thursday’s loss to Carolina. Lundqvist, while not having the best season, was returning to form over the last two months and seemed to be ready for another playoff run.

kegunaan obat sporetik cefixime 100mg Luckily for the Rangers, Antti Raanta has had a stellar season. He will be the starter while Lundqvist is out. The schedule does not favor the Rangers though, as there are four back-to-backs coming up. It’s assumed that Magnus Hellberg will be recalled to be the backup during this time. He may even get a game or two.  go Update: He’s been recalled on an emergency basis.

plaquenil 200mg thuoc I’m curious about these injuries. I’d have to imagine that if it were the playoffs we would see most of the players skating. Maybe this is AVs way of resting people since they have solidified a playoff spot and barring a monumental collapse (by the rangers or another metro team) they really aren’t moving up or down.

Hank needs to play at least 5 games to end the year , and G comes back rested and can slot into the 2ed or 3rd pair where he is more capable of playing at this point in his career IMO.G can still play reliable minutes if used right but will AV use him the right way.Ha can be stubborn as an ass at times LGR

ventolin buy online uk How does the emergency call work , because we have already had our 4 Buchnevich – Glass – Kempfer -Halverson . Now we will recall Hellberg i guess i don’t understand the NHL rule , which there are many i don’t understand . Of all the 5 Major sports the NHL has the worst officials in any of them HANDS DOWN.
Suspensions have no meaning Marchand slew foots somebody and gets slap on the wrist , so he says to himself that was EASY and does the same thing the next game and doesn’t even have a phone call from the NHL . It seems like if you want justice send one of your star players out to spear or slew foot some one and the NHL will not even make a phone call . OK Sisito gets 4 games does anyone care even the Penguins don’t care . Mario called him up just for what he did , if the NHL would have suspended Malkin for what he did to Wheeler that would have been the end of it , no worry about the next game turning into what it did .Rule book has different meaning for different players and times in the game when they happen . Some one needs to get seriously hurt from a slew foot for the NHL to do some thing about it . Malkin gets much to leeway from the league as does Marchand any many other players , except for the so called goons who nobody misses on the ice anyway when they are not in the lineup. How would we feel if TG got suspended for the rest of the year for a hit from behind . We would just say oh well AV can’t put him into the line up now . WOW a 3 EDDIE post didn’t think i had it in me LGR

Disastrous news. Just no other way to put it.

The Rangers next six games are three pairs of back to backs. This pretty much guarantees we will see Hellberg in 2 if not 3 of those games. Combine that with all the rest of the injuries and I’m afraid this could be a tipping point that sends the team on a downward spiral. This team’s chances always begin and end with Hank. Without him for a lengthy period of time, its bad…real bad.

We all better hope that its a two week injury rather than three. That would give Hank a chance to round into form before the playoffs start. But if its three, and with the rest of the injured players, and either a sub-par Hank or a career backup goalie in nets come playoff time, we will be out in the first round regardless of who we play.

The Rangers have one truly great player. That’s the guy who’s now out long term. This team as currently designed has no chance to make a deep run without him at his best. None. Zero.

I don’t think the coaches or the medical staff, or even Hank for that matter, cares about any of that. It’s all about playoff readiness.

Hank played a great game the other night. I watched him post game and he seemed as happy as a clam (why are clams happy? I have no idea, but I digress). I suspect what happened was he tweaked something during the game, probably late in the game, didn’t realize the severity, woke up the next day and realized something was wrong.

I felt the same before cam talbot came to town, i have just as much faith in Raanta, and this team that these 2-3 weeks will not be as bad as most think.

if hank returns as well as others, rested, for the playoffs we may be ok.

BUT remember i still know this team currently is a first round departure because of the defense.

Bad news for sure because Hank was definitely rounding into form in time for the playoffs. 12-5-1 over past 19 starts with 2.26 and .931 are nice numbers and show that his earlier struggles with consistency were pretty much over. But if he can get back and have at least 4 or 5 starts before the playoffs then this could be a blessing in disguise. Antti is having a stellar year and I think he will be great down the stretch. They basically need to play .500 hockey to stay where they are which is more than doable. Get well Hank and LGR!

Well, it is not great news but I have to disagree with 3E, it is not disastrous. Thankfully it is the middle of March, so we have time to get Hank back. We also have a backup who I’d argue is capable of being the starting goalie on many teams. Yes, Antti is really that good. He will show those that don’t believe it over the couple of weeks that I’m not blowing smoke. Hank will be back and in time to get in some games before the playoffs.

As I said above, probably an emotional overstatement on my part. I’ll amend to “potentially disastrous/devastating”. Yes, Raanta is arguably the best back up in the league, but that’s a far cry from being a HOF and the best Game 7 goalie perhaps ever. This team has too many flaws (suspect defense, erratic offense fronted by “faux stars” who aren’t really much more than very good players. The one true star is the goalie. If he’s not 100% and sharp enough to be “Playoff Hank” when the bell rings, we are the easily the weakest team in the tournament.

Now, if our would be supposed stars are ready to morph into Kane, Ovie, Crosby, etc, then Raanta will be more than sufficient. Otherwise, we are an easy out.

My prediction is that Magnus Hellberg will step up past Raanta, and be like Ken Dryden (who really came out of nowhere) did with the Canadians back in the seventies, leading us through the playoffs all the way to the Stanley Cup! Wouldn’t that really blow everyone away? You never know for sure what could happen. Injuries sometimes turn into opportunities for blessings. I.m doing a little dreaming.

I’m hearing fantastic things about this young Russian goalie we have who is tearing it up in the KHL

So i just had my Snickers bar, and more importantly read the quotes following today’s practice. Good news is that Grabner and Nash will be back in (will be interesting to see who sits…Puempel for sure, but then will it be Pirri or Glass? I’m betting it’s Pirri but we’ll see).

And even better news is that AV said “no question” that Hank will be ready come playoff time. So as long as he can be “Playoff Hank”, then I will officially cancel DEFCON 1 status on the Rangers season and reduce it to DEFCON 5. For now. 🙂
