Per Bob McKenzie, the New York Rangers have acquired forward James Sheppard from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for a 4th round draft pick in 2016. Sheppard is a left-handed center (who can play LW) that is a great shot suppressor and plays a solid defensive game. He has a line of 5-11-16 for San Jose this year.
A shutdown line of Sheppard-Moore-Fast is a great fourth line that can be a one of the best shot suppressing lines in the game.
