The 6’4″, 220 lb defenseman has a line of 5-17-22 in 65 games in the QMJHL, split between the Charlottetown Islanders and the Val d’Or Foreurs. Big, tough, and physical left handed defenseman.

He has a chance to be a top 6 defenseman so Conor Allen, and Brady Skjei could be in danger of losing their jobs SOONER THAN LATER. Skjei is a finesse, defensive defenseman so he is probably a career AHL or European bound player.

skjei and allen (playing RD) will both get here and stay.

The person being pushed out in 2 years is prob. Marc Staal, because of cap mgmt. However, I could easily see Stepan + Girardi + ____ to Toronto for JVR, and if we are short on the right, having McDonagh shift on 1st pair from L to R, with Staal being 1LD, Skjei + Graves, etc filling out the left side.

I don’t really know much about Conor Allen, but I thought he was doing fairly well. What’s the scoop on him?
