Leonard: Callahan in with Pyatt, Boyle

Per Pat Leonard, Ryan Callahan is back on the ice, skating between Taylor Pyatt and Brian Boyle. This likely (not likely, is) means Cally will be returning to the lineup on Monday in Los Angeles. Leornard also noted that the fourth line consisted of a rotation of Derek Dorsett and Jesper Fast on the right side of J.T. Miller (LW) and Dom Moore (C). It is expected that Fast will be returned to the Hartford Wolfpack of the AHL, who just cleared a forward spot on their roster.

Cally between Boyle and Pyatt? He should take Pouliot spot and Pouliot should slide down into the 3rd line. That 2nd line is all zucc and brass; Pouliot is just a led-handed beneficiary. Cally has a nack for finishing, I think he would fit in well on that second line.

Hard to argue. Cally would be a big defensive upgrade also. I was not impressed with Pouliot’s play defensively in game 1. He seemed to get beat on numerous occasions in the neutral zone. Slide Pouliot down to give a little offensive juice to what is a defensive 3rd line right now.

let me take issue with the coach already, Brian Boyle should not be playing centre! he should be a fourth line winger.

I would move Boyle to become a bruising stay at home defenseman. One who would clear the crease. Drop the gloves. Block the shots.

That’s what he’s built for. Crushing people.

We should make Lundqvist a forward too, he would easily be a point per game player based on his save percentage.

All of a sudden Boyle will move to defense and become a bruising stay at home dman? Lol That was funny enough right there! Then you added he would magically clear creases, drop gloves AND block shots, which made it absolutely HILARIOUS lol. Why can’t he do any of that as the 3rd/4th line center he is now? Oh that’s right because he’s got a 6’7″ VAGINA.

Boyle wasn’t on the ice when for all those goals against so why the knock on Brian? A line with Boyle at center and Cally an Miller would be an energy line that can bodycheck, score and play defence.
