J.T. Miller recalled for tonight’s game

April 3, 2013, by

J.T. Miller has been recalled for tonight’s game against the Penguins. He was initially returned to Connecticut with Chris Kreider earlier in the day, but the trade of Marian Gaborik necessitated a recall for the game. Kreider was not recalled. Miller was sent down initially so that he would be eligible for the AHL playoffs.

The Rangers stated that they called him up on an emergency basis, in case the newly acquired players could not arrive in time. Since then, news has broke that John Moore and Derek Brassard will arrive in time for theĀ  game. Ryane Clowe was already in New York.

I’m not really too pumped up over these moves. So much turnover in 24 hours, and the team doesn’t seem to look better on paper. Either this will kick em all in the backside, or completely unglue the team. It just seems like the organization doesn’t really know what it wants right now, but that’s also why I’m here and they’re there.

1 forward out, 3 forwards (1 hurt)and 1 defenseman in. It’s turnover, but not that much in 24 hours.

    • Dave says:

I’m omitting the demotions of Miller and Kreider because call ups and demotions happen all the time.

I guess that I’m just disappointed to see Gabby go. I’m a fan of his, regardless of how this year played out.
