Around the Farm: Thursday/Friday roundup

I had eye surgery on Friday, so I was unable to get the ATF yesterday. This post will cover all games played by the Rangers prospects on Thursday night and Friday night. Today’s (Saturday’s) games will be covered tomorrow, as per usual.

The playoffs –or playoff type scenarios– have begun for almost all of the Rangers prospects. Oscar Lindberg and Jesper Fasth have begun their first round series in Sweden. The NCAA conference tournaments have begun, with Brady Skjei (Minnesota), Boo Nieves (Michigan), and Steven Fogarty (Notre Dame) all winning their first games. Michael St. Croix (Edmonton), Shane McColgan, and Josh Nicholls (both with Saskatoon) have clinched playoff berths in the WHL. Sam Noreau’s Baie-Comeau has clinched a playoff berth in the QMJHL. Finally, Peter Ceresnak’s Peterborough of the OHL control their own destiny for the final playoff berth.

Be sure to check after the jump for the full scoring lines for the games. Also check out our Prospect Stats page for season long scoring lines.

Get well quick, we need your reports!!

As for the prospects, it appears that they are doing the same as the parent club, nothing!!

Just busting your tail here. I’m really looking forward to see what the two kids in Sweden will look like in north America. The Lindberg kid sounds like a real winner, I just hope he can bring that to the Rangers real soon.

I’d like to get another look at Ferriero. He seemed to have alot of energy and speed and actually put in some effort. He could be a difference maker. He is a bottom 6 forward so i doubt he could do much. JT Miller in my opinion should be sent down. He produced in his first few games but, the third line cant get much offense going. Miller can be sent down and develop and start producing again. Ferriero could help Boyle and Pyatt start scoring again. Maybe some chemistry will develop and this line could be another threat to oter teams. Gabby, Richie are not producing on a consistent basis. Third line needs to compensate for that.
