Around the Farm: Whale dominated in shutout loss

The Whale had another rough day yesterday, getting blown out by the Syracuse Crunch by a score of 4-0. Goaltending wasn’t the issue, as Talbot was solid again making 34 saves. Sometimes losses like this happen.

The only other prospect in action last night was Peter Ceresnak, who was held off the scoreboard in Peterborough’s 4-1 loss in the OHL.

Think you can cross Ceresnak off the list of prospects as he has really not shown enough to be worthy of a contract.

Shane McColgan’s team has won 15 straight and last week Adam Graves was out there checking him out and had some positive things to say about him. Pretty sure McColgan is going to get a contract with the only question being which one?

Samuel Noreau had a great 1st half but has slowed down over last month. He needs a good playoff run to get back on the contract side.

I get the feeling Noreau, McColgan, and St. Croix get contracts. Ceresnak may get an ATO at this point. He had a decent showing at the WJC but his play in the OHL has been awful.
