Around the Farm: Whale drop three over the weekend

December 3, 2012, by

The Connecticut Whale are on a bit of a roller coaster ride this year. After winning four in a row, the Whale dropped three straight games over the weekend. Following tough 4-2 (to Providence) and 4-3 (in OT to Syracuse) losses, the Whale got crushed by Tim Erixon and Springfield, losing by a score of 5-0. Ex-Whale(s) Erixon (assist) and Jonathan Audy-Marchessault (two assists) again did a number on their former club.

I was at the Syracuse game. They collapsed in the last 12 minutes of the game. Gilroy was on the ice a lot. Newbury had some big hits. Cam Talbot kept them in the game as the shots were 26 to 56. Kreider was invisible.
