Around the Farm: Kreider’s hat trick a sign of things to come

In case you missed it yesterday afternoon, Chris Kreider made his first big impression on the Connecticut Whale. In CT’s 4-3 win over the Worcester Sharks, Kreider netted a hat trick, including the eventual game winner, in a truly dominating performance. J.T. Miller also scored for the Whale, all but securing his spot on the roster. Miller, who has been called the most creative player in the preseason by coach Ken Gernander, has shown that he may have been a steal in the mid-first round. Well, as much of a steal as a first round pick can be.

Meanwhile in Switzerland Sweden, Oscar Lindberg continued his torrid scoring pace, netting another goal and an assist in Skellefteå AIK’s 3-1 vicotry last night. Check after the jump for the scoring lines of all prospects in action last night, including Michael St. Croix.

Them 2 boys (Miller & Kreider) is gonna be a spectacle to watch at the NHL level.

    • Dave says:

@Chris.C, don’t forget about Lindberg. The kid wins 60% of his face offs, and this new found offensive skill is something to keep an eye on.

st croix is going to be another mike bossy

    • Dave says:

@rob sahm, that’s one lofty expectation. Even if he becomes 1/3 of what Bossy was, it’s a win.
