Blue Seat Blogs welcomes Kevin Baumer

I teased on Twitter yesterday that we had a big surprise for today. And the big surprise is that we have made a solid and unexpected addition to our writing staff here at BSB. Kevin Baumer reached out to me and expressed interest in joining BSB, and we were very quick to say yes. To have someone of Kevin’s knowledge on the staff is a tremendous asset.

For those that are unfamiliar with Kevin, he used to write for Blueshirt Bulletin. He left BB last year and went to Hockey Prospect¬†where he contributes regularly. He is a great writer and really fits into the mold here at BSB of “think first.”

You should all be following Kevin on Twitter, and make sure to welcome him on board. I’m sure you’re going to love his writing and insight.

Welcome Kevin. Perhaps as your first contribution you might review Ranger prospects, their readiness for NHL play with an objective analysis and how they might improve a currently flawed roster.

Hey, alright Kevin! Missed your contributions ever since you left Blueshirt Bulletin! (aside from Twitter of course)

Looking forward to seeing you here!

    Kevin

First of all, welcome to this site, and our Ranger family!

If you write as well as the others on this staff, and I suspect you do, then we are very lucky to have another bright mind that will give us insight, analysis, and hopefully some humor. Once again, welcome aboard!!!!! This is by far the best there is out there.

Welcome Kevin, as for my off season plan as arm chair GM would be to sign Del Zotto, Prust, Bickel, Mitchell and Marty Biron. Also we sign Justin Schultz and Parise. Draft Tom Wilson or Scott Loughton in the 1st and a good faceoff center in the 2nd. Keep the off season simple. Gone will be Eminger, Woywitka, Zuccarello, Stralman, John Scott, Kris Newbury, Sean Avery and Ruslan Fedotenko.
I caution on the signing of Parise in terms of Length and amount because end of 2013 we have to have the space to sign our own players. 2013 off season is a big one for us. Justin Schultz must be signed in my opinion, Parise dependant on circumstances. Simple plan

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome and thanks especially to Dave, Suit, Justin and Chris for adding me to what I consider to be the best Rangers blog out there.
I’m thrilled to be joining the Blue Seat Blogs team and hope to contribute the solid insight and strong opinions that make this site great. Looking forward to interacting with each of you over the next weeks and months, I can’t wait to get started!
