Preview: Everything you need to know about this series can be found in our preview. Looking for info on Brodeur? Check Justin’s review of his style. As for this game, the Rangers are attempting to go to Newark up 2-0, which would be their first two game lead of the playoffs. In each of the previous series, the Rangers looked dominant in Game One only to falter in Game Two. Let’s hope they avoid that this time around.

Crazy Thought: Bickel gets a point.

Shouldnt the call ups be healthy scratches or am i missing something here? Why is bickel playing??? It should be erixon. Lets see what he can do. He would play more than bickels 3-6 minutes a game if that.

    • Steven T says:

At this point, it makes sense to stick with Bickel considering he has been fine with the limited playing time and has performed adequately in the role. The way the 6th defenseman is being used, and will be used most likely no matter who takes the role, makes it not matter significantly who it is.

  2. Dave says:

I don’t consider the call ups to be healthy scratches. They are injury replacements, so I’m treating them as if they were still in CT.
