Per Mollie Walker, Mika Zibanejad and Ryan Lindgren have each been awarded additional 2023 Rangers team awards for the season. Zibanejad took home the Rangers Team MVP award, with Lindgren adding the Player’s Player award to his Steven McDonald Award.
Zibanejad is the team’s leading goal scorer with 39 goals, and could hit 40 tomorrow for the second time in his career. He also eclipsed 90 points for the first time in his career. A big game tomorrow night could mean new career highs in goals (41) and assists (52) to go with his career high 90 points this season.
Lindgren is a warrior and clearly a huge part of the Rangers locker room. A steadying presence on the top pair, his absence in March was felt up and down the lineup. He may not have the flashy numbers, but he’s a clear top pairing defenseman on a team with a least 3 top pairing defensemen.
