Sure looks like the NY Rangers have figured themselves out. They dismantled the Penguins 6-0 last night, sweeping both games at MSG and essentially securing the #3 seed in the Metro Division. The lines seem to be clicking, driving possession, and scoring. The defense hasn’t been great yet, but Igor Shesterkin is covering for the mess ups.

The Predators come to town to try to slow the Rangers down, but it’s a tall order for them. Roman Josi did not travel with the team, and while the Preds are still in the hunt for a playoff spot, they were clearly sellers at the deadline. The Rangers hope to play a little spoiler here to wrap up another back to back and three in four.

This does have the makings of a trap game, given the lineup Nashville is playing tonight.
