NY Rangers recall Sammy Blais from conditioning stint

The NY Rangers have recalled winger Sammy Blais from his conditioning stint in the AHL. Blais was assigned to the AHL on his 10 day stint on January 24th, so this is more of a paperwork move than anything else.

Blais’ cap hit and roster spot never came off the Rangers roster during his assignment, so this has no change on the Rangers cap situation yet. If/When the Rangers recall Will Cuylle, as expected on Monday, then the Rangers will be at 23 players again, impacting their cap situation.

Blais finished up his stint nicely last night, with a pair of goals in Hartford’s win.
