rangers senators

Ok maybe the Devils game was rock bottom for the Rangers? It’s hard to tell from this team, since they should be infinitely better than they are showing us through 23 games. At least Gerard Gallant is changing up the defense pairs and the forwards a bit, finally getting Vitali Kravtsov into the lineup and Barclay Goodrow out of the top six. It’s time they put out the best lineup, not one that caters to who others want to play with.

That’s just step one, of course. The players need to, you know, actually play and show up and do what they are paid to do. That’s been the challenge recently, especially with most teams keying in on what the Rangers like to do. With rush chances generally unavailable, the Rangers need to find a way to score off the forecheck, which might actually open up some of those rush chances at some point. The Senators aren’t a soft landing spot, but they are a team the Rangers should beat tonight and on Friday. They need both games.
