A great NHL Saturday is upon us on this long weekend. What better way to enjoy the games than to partake in some betting on them?  Let’s highlight a few that are DEFINITELY of interest.

Define the Great Money Line: Record 1-2

New Jersey Devils over the Capitals -190

It’s not a secret that the Devils have had an auspicious start to their season racking up a franchise-tying 13 wins in a row before losing to the Toronto Maple Leafs, but just because they are a favorite in this matchup should not scare people from putting down a 2-3 unit bet on the money line.

The Capitals–while getting healthier everyday–will be coming in to New Jersey on the second half of a back to back in the late afternoon. The Devils depth trumps anything the Capitals can throw over the boards besides Alex Ovechkin. Should be an extremely favorable matchup for the Devils

Pull up the Covers: Record 1-2

Colorado Avalanche cover the Dallas Stars -1.5 +165

This matchup is going to be super interesting to me. Both teams were supposed to play on the road yesterday and then fly to Denver for today’s matchup. However, the Avalanche’s game against the Predators yesterday was postponed due to a pipe leak in the Predator’s arena. Only the Stars will be coming in having played a full 60 minutes plus overtime in a loss to the Winnipeg Jets.  Look for a 4-2 or a 5-3 game out of this one. There is a lot of fire power on both sides this season, but give the Avalanche the edge for not having to play yesterday.

Overs or Unders: Record 2-1

Vancouver Canucks and Vegas Golden Knights Over 6.5 -115

This seems funny as the previous article also had the Canucks and Golden Knights hitting the over, but hey, if it hit before, why not again? HAMMER this over. The Canucks are showing a lot more ability to score goals of late, and Vegas is Vegas. Mark Stone, Jack Eichel, Reilly Smith, Chandler Stephenson all have that scoring touch and I don’t foresee that changing anytime soon against a Canucks team who’s team save percentage still has not eclipsed .900. Any game involving the Canucks this season is just bound for chaos.
