Barclay Goodrow and Artemiy Panarin are making their 2022 preseason debuts tonight in Newark. Goodrow had been held out and working in slowly as he recovers from whatever ankle ailment he had. Panarin, to be frank, doesn’t really need preseason other than as a tune up.

This is where things get interesting, as the Rangers have four players vying for 1-2 spots on the roster all playing tonight. Gustav Rydahl, Ryan Carpenter, Jonny Brodzinski, and Dryden Hunt are all looking for 4th line spots. With Brennan Othmann’s reassignment, it appears Jimmy Vesey will be getting a league minimum contract soon.
