As expected, the Rangers have an out for Patrik Nemeth after failing to buy him out yesterday. The Rangers have traded Nemeth to Arizona, per Shayna Goldman.
Sounds like the Rangers have figured out a way out of Nemeth's contract by flipping him to Arizona.

The full trade is Nemeth and a 2nd (and a future conditional pick) to Arizona for defenseman Ty Emberson, a 22 year old former 3rd round pick currently in the AHL.
This gives the Rangers some wiggle room this year and next with the cap. It’s unfortunate Nemeth didn’t work out in New York, and it’s likely he will rebound nicely in Arizona. Hopefully without long Covid symptoms.
