Is Sammy Blais an integral part of a Rangers shutdown line?

There was certainly some drama in the Rangers morning skate today. Ryan Strome and Barclay Goodrow both skated, but Strome looked uncomfortable and Goodrow was limping a bit.

In other news, Sammy Blais was skating with the regulars without a non-contact jersey. Blais has been out since November with a torn ACL, and it’s promising that he looks to be almost back to normal. However Gallant did say he doesn’t expect Blais to play this series.

I’d expect Strome and Goodrow to both play in Game 4. I’d wouldn’t necessarily expect Blais to play, but if the Rangers are down a couple of guys, then he might be in the lineup sooner than expected.
