After a no-show in Game 5, the Rangers are again facing an elimination game. This is the fourth time these playoffs the Rangers have faced an elimination game, although the first three times were against the Penguins. This is a team that doesn’t give up, but they also put themselves in unnecessary holes. It’s arguable that this 3-2 hole was avoidable.
The Canes are beatable. This is not the juggernaut we saw in the regular season, for whatever reason. To beat them, the Rangers “simply” need to do what they did in Game 4. Easier said than done, and the Canes won’t continue to lose all their road games. Something has to give here.
