The Rangers are, for all intents and purposes, in a must win game today at MSG. They cannot go down 3-0, or even 3-1, to the Canes. The good news is that the kid line depth is playing well and providing all the offense. The bad news is that offense is just one goal, and the top six have been nowhere to be seen.

The Rangers won’t win if their top six do nothing, which is something that happened against Pittsburgh as well. This Rangers team can never be counted out, but they also don’t need to put themselves in holes like this. Carolina is very beatable. But the Rangers need to score.

That’s it. You can’t win if you don’t score. The Rangers have a goal in two games. That obviously won’t cut it.
