Chris Kreider keeps on collecting his Rangers awards. Already the Steven McDonald and Mr. Ranger Trophy winners internally for the Rangers, Kreider was also nominated for the Masterton Trophy. He can add King Clancy nominee to his resume as well.
The King Clancy is awarded to the player who “best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community.” It’s unlikely Kreider wins the Masterton, given some of the other nominees, but the King Clancy may be within reach? This one is tough to predict.
