Per Arthur Staple, it looks like the Rangers Tyler Motte injury is significant, as he is out with an upper body injury with no timetable for return. Motte took a questionable hit in yesterday’s win over Pittsburgh.

The hit wasn’t to the head, but it definitely looks like a shoulder injury. With the playoffs just around the corner, let’s hope significant means a month, and not three months. Motte has been great for the Rangers since the trade deadline, and really steadied the fourth line with some much needed speed.
Teams can overcome injuries to fourth liners, but this one still hurts.
Filip Chytil also missed today’s practice with an upper body injury.
