Rangers 2024 trade deadline summary

Chris Drury has been named Assistant GM of Team USA for the 2022 Olympics, to be held in Beijing.

COVID is lurking, and there are legitimate concerns that the NHL might not send its players. They could be facing a three week quarantine following the Olympics, although that isn’t confirmed.

In addition to Drury, the Rangers will probably be sending Igor Shesterkin (Russia), Adam Fox (USA), Mika Zibanejad (Sweden), and Artemiy Panarin (Russia). They might also be sending Chris Kreider (USA) and Filip Chytil (Czech Republic), with outside shots for a couple others. This isn’t insignificant for the Rangers.

But that’s a conversation for another day.
