The Rangers, fresh off their schedule loss to the Avs, are back in action against the Sabres, looking to rebound with two points. Luckily for them, Buffalo, and then Nashville on Sunday, are both soft landing spots for a team looking to get back on track after a rough loss. Colorado was just that, a rough loss, but perhaps a well timed loss.
#NYR notes for BUF:
– BUF has been more avg. lately; middle of the pack in shots & chances, bot. 10 in Save %
– 1D/2D are new and working so far (<12 TOI, 74%+ xG)
– 1L/2L are still <45% xG on the season, 3L/4L are still pretty newA possible right-the-ship game for NYR. pic.twitter.com/duS6QtVW4o

The Sabres aren’t tank-bad, but they are still not good. Buffalo has very little actual skill, but they’ve had better process of late. A lax game by the Rangers means they could pay for it later. But the Rangers are far better. This should be a win, but crazier things have happened.
