The Rangers have a very odd schedule this week. They played in Chicago last night, they are home tonight for the second of a back to back against Colorado, then they travel to Buffalo, then back home. This is what happens when the Olympics cram the schedule a bit. Adding to it is the Shesterkin injury. But because of it, Adam Huska gets his first NHL start.
#NYR notes for COL:
– COL is good, but hasn't been elite. Their xGF/60 has been average (both season and lately). Top 10 in xGA/60, tho
– Struggling with Goaltending
– 1L/1D have been good (>54% xG)
– The rest are <45% xG (4L is <29%!)B2B's are always tough, but we'll see. pic.twitter.com/fwbqvOrUsO

The Avs are not what they used to be, struggling with some scoring depth, and it’s showing. They aren’t scoring at the rate they used to, nor are they driving possession. But they are still defensively solid.
This isn’t a trap game, but it’s a tough to win game. Second of a back to back, with a lot of travel, and a rookie goalie who finally found his footing this year in the AHL. The Rangers need to be near perfect tonight.
