The Rangers and Norris winning defenseman Adam Fox have agreed to a seven year, $9.5 million contract extension.

The extension takes Fox, currently 23 years old, to his age-31 season. There are no details on any movement clauses, but those wouldn’t kick in until the final four years of the deal.
This is a fantastic deal for the Rangers, and the Adam Fox extension is worth every penny. The contract also gives more clarity to the Rangers’ cap situation for the next few seasons.
