The Rangers have recalled center Greg McKegg in advance of tonight’s preseason finale. It’s certainly unexpected, but it’s likely just to have an extra body for tonight’s game.
With both Julien Gauthier and Dryden Hunt, the Rangers don’t need an extra forward to start the season to account for the Ryan Reaves injury. This includes sending Morgan Barron to the AHL. This recall is likely just for tonight.
