In honor of Mr. Ranger, the late Rod Gilbert, the Rangers will be wearing a #7 patch on their jerseys all season.
In addition, the Rangers have created the Rod Gilbert “Mr. Ranger” award. The award will be given to the Ranger who “best honors Rod’s legacy by exemplifying leadership qualities both on and off the ice, and making a significant humanitarian contribution to the community.”
