The Rangers have signed 2021 first round pick Brennan Othmann to an entry level contract.

The timing is a little interesting, since it is a bit rare that the Rangers sign their picks this soon after the draft. Especially those not expected to make a run for the roster for a few seasons. Othmann is a kid that, despite the shifting draft approach, checks a lot of boxes for the Rangers and is a solid prospect. He will be with Flint in the OHL this season, assuming there is an OHL season.
