The 2021 NHL schedule has been announced, and the Rangers will open the season on October 13 against Washington. They will have their home opener on October 14 against Dallas.

A few key notes:
- The Rangers travel to Seattle on October 31 for their first ever game against the Kraken.
- Nine of their first 12 games will be on the road.
- Their first trip to Belmont will be on November 24, with the annual Black Friday game against Boston two days later.
- There is a three week break in February for the Olympics.
- Those last two games against Carolina and Washington will likely have playoff implications.
