  • The Stanley Cup Final is over, and now the fun begins. The Rangers began their expansion draft prep by re-signing Brett Howden, opening up expansion draft options.
  • It was the week of Rangers rumors, with Jack Eichel rumors picking up, along with the Rangers being tied to Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Vladimir Tarasenko. Only one of those makes sense, though.
  • This is truly the calm before the storm. Expansion draft protection lists are due at the end of the week.
  • As for the Rangers, keep an eye on Tony DeAngelo and the buyout window opened Friday. Naturally this hasn’t happened yet, but it is coming.
