- David Quinn was fired, along with all assistants not named Benoit Allaire. This was expected, as he was on the hot seat following all the front office turnover.
- Gerard Gallant appears to be the front runner for the head coaching position. He’s already been interviewed, although the Rangers are expected to interview 3-4 more candidates. There are some interesting names they could be looking at.
- Brian Leetch, whom none of us knew had a role with the Rangers, resigned from that position with hockey operations. Mike Grier took his spot within a day.
- All this came a week after Jeff Gorton was relieved of his position as General Manager. We reviewed the good, the bad, and the ugly of his tenure.
- The Rangers still appear to be the front runners for Jack Eichel.
- The first round of the playoffs is underway, and we gave our predictions.
