The Rangers have been outplayed in nine straight periods, and it hit a low yesterday with their “effort” against the Penguins. Tonight, on the second of a back to back, they get the division leading Isles. The Isles just loaded up by adding both Travis Zajac and Kyle Palmieri to their third line. It only cost them what will be a late first round pick, which is a good deal for the Isles.

The Rangers need to just tighten up their entire game. They’ve been atrocious in the neutral zone, which has led to bad defensive zone play. And when you don’t have the puck and are pinned in your own end, you don’t get many offensive chances. Pressure pressure pressure.

It’s also the Isles, so it would be nice if they woke up against this team.
