The Rangers are back in action at MSG taking on the Penguins in a set of games they must sweep. The Rangers are at a point where to hit 69 points and eclipse Boston’s expected 68 points, they need to go 14-4-1 or 15-4 to close out the series. That means a big winning streak or two is needed, and they need to figure out how to generate some offense.
Meanwhile, the lines certainly drew some attention yesterday and today. Colin Blackwell got the Jesper Fast comparison, which means he’s in the top six. Vitali Kravtsov was moved to the fourth line, and Julien Gauthier was moved to the press box. That sparked some….discussion? Yes, let’s call it discussion. At this point, with the way things are going, playing the kids might be the best choice. The playoffs are highly unlikely, and development matters more.
Let’s see how long these lines last.
