Around the Farm: Braden Schneider with two assists in win

Braden Schneider recorded a pair of assists in yesterday’s 3-2 win, bringing him to six assists and eight points in eight games thus far this season. Matthew Robertson also notched an assist in a 6-1 win. The WHL and AHL kids are the only ones still in the regular season. Zac Jones is the only NCAA prospect still in it.

Overseas, Karl Henriksson began his SHL Playoffs run with 10 mins TOI in the first round. He, Nils Lundkvist (Lulea), and Adam Edstrom (Rogle) are all in the SHL playoffs this year. In Allsvenskan, it’s just Jakob Ragnarsson (Timra) still alive.

In the KHL, it’s just Yegor Rykov still in it. In Liiga, both Leevi Aaltonen (KalPa) and Lauri Pajuniemi (TPS) qualified for the playoffs.

  • A pattern is starting to emerge here. The scouting staff seems to be pretty good with picking d’men and pretty poor picking forwards — with exceptions of course.

    • You might remember the Swedish goalie drafted in the second round playing in Swedish league too.

      Not any centers drafted either
