igor shesterkin all star

Less than a week after being unable to put pressure on his right leg, Igor Shesterkin is back at practice, signaling he might return soon. What looked like a brutal injury was actually “just” a groin strain. Shesterkin was day-to-day, and appears ready to get back in net. He led the Rangers out on the ice for today’s morning skate.

It is unclear if he will return today, or if this is just a tune up skate before returning on Thursday. But it’s good to see him back. Groin injuries are tricky and can impact push offs, so let’s hope he’s good to go. The Rangers don’t *need* Igor Shesterkin to return immediately, but it is certainly nice to see.
