Kaapo Kakko is officially off the COVID list and at the morning skate. This is great news for the Rangers, who are still without Artemi Panarin. Kakko has been one of their better forwards this season, and the Rangers could really use him back in the lineup.
That said, Kakko is not expected to play tonight. The lines appear to be unchanged since Tuesday’s sloppy win.
Based on morning skate jerseys, it looks like lineup will be unchanged tonight:
Laf – Mika – Buch
Kreider – Strome – Blackwell
Rooney – Chytil – Gauthier
Lemieux – Howden – PDGLindgren – Fox
Miller – Smith
Johnson – HájekWill confirm with DQ shortly. #NYR

Anthony Bitetto was also skating, but is not in the lineup. Even though the lineup is the same, I’d expect the Rangers to be much tighter defensively and much better overall.
